You’re cordially invited to the first post-Rio Olympics reading of To Belém & Back, recently given one of Publishers Weekly’s coveted Star reviews.

Author Ben Batchelder intends to give a brief reading, present the short film “Tiradentes2Belém,” and answer any questions at the Signet Society, in Cambridge, Mass., on Sunday, Oct. 16th, from 5-6pm.

The Signet Society has been Harvard University’s premier literary (& arts) club since 1870.

Paperbacks will be on sale, and the colorful eBook, with 41 full-page images from the journey, is always easy to download, before, during, or after the event.

Please RSVP in the Connect page of this site.

About Ben

Author Ben Batchelder has traveled extensively on American and Brazilian backroads. Nothing in his background, from a degree in Visual & Environmental Studies at Harvard to an MBA from Wharton, adequately prepared him for the experiences. Nevertheless he has published two books on his New World journeys, that map the inner and exterior geographies of meaningful travel, with plans for more. Having grown up in Cambridge, Mass., he currently leads a bi-hemispheric life, as a mountain man with a writer’s retreat in the hills of Minas Gerais, Brazil who comes down to the sea at Miami Beach, Florida.
